Pulsiv8 Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") establishes this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "the Policy") concerning the handling of user information in the services provided by the Company (hereinafter referred to as "the Service").

1-4. Data Collection Based on User Consent

Location data will only be collected if users explicitly grant permission. This data will be used only for necessary functions within the Service, such as travel guide services, and will not be used for other purposes.

1-5. Use of Data for AI Learning

With user consent, we may use various types of data collected during Service use (e.g., images, videos, audio, text) for service improvement and AI learning. Data will be used in a statistically aggregated and anonymized form to ensure users are not personally identifiable.

1-6. Opting Out of AI Learning

Users may opt out of having their data used for AI learning purposes. In such cases, the Company will not use the user's data for AI learning, and we will discuss any measures to ensure compliance with the user's request.

1-7. Data Retention

The Company will retain user information only for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purpose of its collection, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

1-8. Data Deletion

Users may request the deletion of their location data or other data they have submitted. Upon such a request, the data will be promptly removed from our systems, except for data that has been anonymized and used for statistical purposes.

2. Purpose of Use

User information collected through the Service will be used for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, protect, and improve the Service, including registration, authentication, payment processing, and user settings management
  • To measure and analyze user traffic and behavior
  • To deliver and measure the effectiveness of advertisements
  • To respond to inquiries and provide information related to the Service
  • To handle violations of the Company's terms, policies, or other agreements
  • To notify users of changes to the Service or relevant terms and policies
3. Sharing with Third Parties

We will not provide personal information to third parties without user consent, except in the following cases. “Third parties” may include entities located outside of Japan:

  • When the Company outsources personal information handling to a third party within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use (subject to confidentiality agreements)
  • When personal information is transferred as part of a business succession, such as a merger

  • Other cases permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other applicable laws
4. Disclosure of Personal Information

Upon request, the Company will disclose personal information to the user after verifying their identity, unless such disclosure is exempted by law. If the requested information does not exist, the user will be notified. A fee of JPY 5,000 (excluding tax) per request will be charged for the disclosure of personal information.

5. Correction and Suspension of Personal Information

When the Company receives a request from a user in the following cases to correct or suspend the use of personal information, the Company will promptly conduct the necessary investigation after verifying the user's identity. Based on the results of the investigation, the Company will correct or suspend the use of the personal information and notify the user accordingly. If the Company decides not to correct or suspend the use, the Company will also notify the user of that decision.

  • Correction of Personal Information: When the user requests correction under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) on the grounds that the personal information is not accurate.
  • Suspension of Use of Personal Information: When the user requests suspension of use under the APPI on the grounds that the personal information is being handled beyond the scope of the previously disclosed purpose of use, or was collected through deceit or other improper means.

When the Company receives a request from a user to delete personal information, the Company will, based on its judgment, delete the personal information after verifying the user's identity, and notify the user accordingly.

The above provisions do not apply if the Company is not obligated to correct or suspend the use of personal information under the APPI or other applicable laws and regulations.

7. Changes to the Privacy Policy

The Company reserves the right to modify this Policy as necessary. If changes require user consent under applicable law, the updated Policy will apply only to users who have agreed to the changes.
